Nicole Patel, the truffle goddess responsible for Austin-based Delysia Chocolatier, recently called me with a tempting proposition: would I be interested in participating in a “truffle tasting” to sample nine flavors of Delysia’s premium ganache?  ”Hmm…” I thought, “Indulging in the richest sweets at 11 o’clock in the morning, sure to send me straight into a chocolate coma?  Bring it on!”   And so began my love affair with Delysia’s handmade creations, with flavors ranging from the classic (mint chocolate, peanut butter, caramel) to the exotic (green tea, ancho chile, wasabi!) that are sure to send a chocolate lover to a state of pure O… er, bliss.
