California Dreamin’
As much as I’m embracing the fall season, working in LA these past few days has reminded me how much I love sunshine & summer. Before heading back to Austin, I’m hoping to spend one carefree day enjoying some of my California favorites…
I’ll start the day on a glamorous note with brunch at the Beverly Hills Hotel’s Polo Lounge. After fueling up on eggs benedict & a cappuccino, I’ll make like Kate Moss & hop in a vintage convertible for a cruise down the Pacific Coast Highway
Somewhere around Malibu, we’ll take a wrong turn and get thoroughly lost. But on a day like today, who cares?
We’ll spread out a picnic lunch on the nearest patch of sand, and play in the surf till the sun goes down.

There are some fun places tucked away.
Royal-T Cafe in Culver City (www.royal-t.org) Always has a running gallery but, just recently opened up a Hello Kitty pop-up store. And there is a ‘Port-a-Party’ in the back. English teas, European pastries, salads, hearty rice bowl meals, and a honking hamburger or the guys. So fun.
