Can’t get it off my mind…

Paris Map

Just added to my inspiration files: This stunning yet simple interior, studded with vibrant colors and framed by an antique map of Paris (spotted on delight by design.) Melanie Elston designed this space for the Antony Todd NY store, and it’s a perfect example of using extreme scale as a way to create an element of drama.

It’s like a song that gets stuck in your head, you can’t stop thinking about the song until you listen to it. Except the interior design version, you can’t stop thinking about the room until you make something just as pretty. I love this room and now it’s stuck in my head. Great find!

isn’t this beautiful?! i saw the same image on delight by design and loved it. i actually spent part of the weekend in paris and found that maps aren’t quite as pretty when you can’t figure them out as they are when they’re blown up and framed in a pretty room. great post :)
