Valentines Day Menu

As you already know if you read this post, I’ve just finished reading the memoir Alice Waters and Chez Panisse, and I’m completely obsessed with the elegant, unpretentious focus on beautiful details that defines Ms. Waters’ aesthetic. How apropo that I came across this charming, artistic, Victorian-inspired menu from one of Chez Panisse Valentine’s dinners illustrated by Cynthia Warren (spotted on Ritzy Bee.) Instead of dining with mon amour at Chez Panisse this evening, I’m whipping up a romantic dinner at home…although I may adopt the idea of bittersweet chocolate souffles for dessert! And perhaps these chocolate-covered berries as a decadent appetizer…
